Announcing National Lottery Funding!
We are so excited to announce that we have received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for our project ‘The Women’s Strike: A Refugee Lysistrata’.
The National Lottery Community Fund distributes over £600m a year to communities across the UK, raised by players of The National Lottery. This funding will enable us to support our participants’ creative and professional ambitions, challenge pervasive and damaging stereotypes about displaced people, and facilitate a creatively excellent modern-day interpretation of Aristophanes’ ‘Lysistrata’, re-imagined by a cast of refugee and asylum seeking women.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the National Lottery for supporting us and believing in our vision for this project. We can’t wait to share the next steps with you.
Watch this space for exciting and unforgettable performances, coming soon!
